The Commercial Solar Company - Terms & Conditions

The Platform connects businesses seeking commercial solar PV installations (“Customers”) with accredited nationwide commercial solar installers (“Installers”). We act solely as an intermediary lead generation and aggregation service. We do not provide solar installation services ourselves.

By accessing or using the Platform, submitting a job enquiry, registering as an Installer, or otherwise engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

  • Customer: A business entity submitting a request for quotes or leads for commercial solar installation jobs.
  • Installer: A registered commercial solar installer receiving leads or job opportunities via the Platform.
  • Lead: Information provided by a Customer about a potential commercial solar project, shared with Installers.
  • Services: The facilitation of connections between Customers and Installers, including lead generation, job posting, and matching.

2. Our Role and Services

We provide a platform for aggregating and distributing commercial solar job leads nationwide.

  • For Customers: We collect your project details and share them with suitable Installers for quotes.
  • For Installers: We provide access to leads on a [e.g., subscription, pay-per-lead, or exclusive basis – specify your model]. We do not vet, endorse, or guarantee the quality, credentials, or performance of any Installer or Customer. All contracts for solar installations are directly between Customers and Installers.

3. Eligibility and Registration

  • You must be a legitimate business entity (not an individual consumer) to use the Platform for commercial solar projects.
  • Installers must provide evidence of relevant accreditations (e.g., MCS certification, RECC membership, or equivalent for commercial work) upon registration.
  • You warrant that all information provided is accurate and up-to-date.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or suspend registration at our discretion.

4. Customer Obligations

  • Provide accurate and complete details about your commercial solar project (e.g., site location, roof type, energy usage).
  • You consent to your details being shared with multiple Installers for quoting purposes.
  • Any subsequent contract is solely between you and the chosen Installer; we are not a party to it.

5. Installer Obligations

  • Maintain valid accreditations and insurance for commercial solar installations.
  • Respond to leads promptly and professionally.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including health and safety, building regulations, and commercial contract standards.

6. Fees and Payment (If Applicable)

  • Customers: Our lead submission service is free.

  • Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Platform (including logos, text, and software) is owned by us or our licensors.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive licence to use your submitted information for providing the Services.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

We process personal and business data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please see our separate Privacy Policy for details.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • We provide the Platform “as is” without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for any loss arising from:
    • Use of leads or connections made via the Platform.
    • Performance or non-performance of Installers or Customers.
    • Inaccurate information provided by users.
  • Our total liability is limited to [e.g., fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months].
  • Nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or other non-excludable matters under English law.

10. Disclaimer

  • We do not guarantee the volume, quality, or conversion of leads.
  • Performance estimates for solar systems are indicative only and depend on site-specific factors.
  • Users are responsible for complying with relevant regulations (e.g., planning permission for commercial solar under permitted development rights, grid connection via DNO).

11. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or at our discretion.
  • Upon termination, any outstanding fees remain payable.

12. Disputes and Complaints

  • Any disputes should first be raised with us in writing.
  • For unresolved issues, we encourage use of alternative dispute resolution.
  • These Terms are governed by English law, with exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of changes.
